Dr. Mohamed N. Bushara.

  • Mohamed N. Bushara is a Sudanese American geoscientist, humanitarian advocate, and nonprofit leader with over 35 years of global experience in oil and gas reservoir development, geoscience consulting, and community engagement. As the Founder and President of the Darfur Network for Development (DND), a nonprofit organization, he is committed to delivering humanitarian aid, fostering peaceful coexistence, and building partnerships between civil society, governments, and local institutions across Darfur and Sudan.

 

  • Bushara currently serves as CEO of Frontline Resources LLC in Denver, Colorado, where he provides strategic consultation on conventional and unconventional reservoir development. His career spans senior technical and leadership roles with major energy companies including Shell/PDO in Oman, PETRONAS in Malaysia, ZADCO in the UAE, and ARCO in Alaska. He has led multidisciplinary teams integrating geoscience and engineering and advised on wealth-sharing mechanisms during the Darfur Peace Talks in Doha.

 

  • A committed advocate for peace and justice, Dr. Bushara participated in the 2023 Lomé Consultative Meeting for Darfurian civil and political leaders, contributing to dialogue on ending the armed conflict between Sudan’s military and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). He also served as a natural resources expert during the Juba Peace Agreement between Sudan’s transitional government and armed groups, and has published extensively on petroleum geology, refugee integration, and cultural resilience, including his book Healing Splintered Souls, a guide for immigrants and minority communities navigating life in the West.
