Dr. Nouri Abdalla

Founder, President & CEO

Dr. Nouri Abdalla is a Sudanese Canadian humanitarian and development strategist with over 30 years of leadership in peacebuilding and sustainable development. As Founder, President, and CEO of SUCAN Foundation for Peace and Development, he leads initiatives that advance peace, justice, and resilience in war‑affected communities across Sudan and the wider African region. His work bridges humanitarian response, development, and institutional reform, grounded in social justice, community empowerment, and inclusive governance.

Mr. Gassim Eljazam

Founder, and Secretary General

Mr. Abuelgassim (Gassim) Eljazam is a Sudanese Canadian accounting professional with more than 18 years of experience in financial services, customer relations, and business operations across Canada and Sudan. With a background spanning accounting, banking, and sales, he brings a practical, client‑focused approach grounded in technical expertise, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

Dr. Mohamed Bushara

Board Member

Dr. Mohamed Bushara is a Sudanese American geoscientist, humanitarian advocate, and nonprofit leader with more than 35 years of global experience in reservoir development, geoscience consulting, and community engagement. As Founder and President of the Darfur Network for Development, and CEO of Frontline Resources LLC, he brings technical depth, cross‑cultural insight, and a strong commitment to humanitarian action and peaceful coexistence in Sudan and beyond.

Ms. Sarah Eljazam

Board Member

Ms. Sarah Eljazam is a graduate in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University, Canada, with hands‑on experience in molecular diagnostics, protein purification, and microbiological analysis. Trained in techniques such as PCR, DNA extraction, and SDS‑PAGE, she brings precision, curiosity, and a collaborative approach to scientific research and laboratory environments.

Prof. Jamal Abdalla

Board Member

Professor Jamal A. Abdalla is a Sudanese civil engineer and internationally recognized expert in structural engineering with over four decades of experience in academia, research, and professional consulting. A licensed Professional Engineer in the United States and Professor of Civil Engineering at the American University of Sharjah, he brings deep technical expertise, academic leadership, and global engagement to advancing innovation in civil engineering and sustainable design.
